How much checked baggage is included with Norwegian, and how do I add a bag?
What each fare includes, weight limits and how to add a bag.
Short answer
With Norwegian, LowFare includes no checked bag, LowFare+ includes one 23 kg bag and Flex includes two 23 kg bags. If you have already booked, you can add bags online or through the Contact Centre up to 4 hours before departure. No single bag may weigh more than 32 kg.
Why
- Norwegian states that the fare type decides whether checked baggage is included or must be paid for.
- Each bag must weigh between 2 and 32 kg, and its length, height and width together must not exceed 300 cm.
- Norwegian charges extra per kilo for each kilo over 23 kg, per flight.
Details
Norwegian advises booking extra baggage online before you start checking in, to save both time and money. You add the bag in your booking on norwegian.com, or by calling the Contact Centre. A bag between 23 and 32 kg is accepted, but you pay for the extra kilos.
Tip
Weigh your bag at home: every kilo over 23 kg costs extra, and no bag may weigh more than 32 kg.
What may differ
The allowance follows the fare type in each booking, so two travellers on the same flight can have different allowances.
