Short answer

Widerøe flies to 49 destinations in Norway and Europe, many of them small regional airports such as Svolvær, Leknes, Røst, Brønnøysund and Mosjøen. You book on wideroe.no or in the Widerøe app. SAS and Norwegian also have codeshare agreements with Widerøe, so some Widerøe flights can be found through them.

Why

  1. Widerøe says it flies to 49 destinations in Norway and Europe with 48 aircraft, 45 of them Dash 8 turboprops.
  2. Its short-haul network is operated partly under contract for the Ministry of Transport and partly as commercial routes.
  3. Visit Norway describes Widerøe as flying to more than 40 destinations and smaller regional airports in Norway.

Details

In Lofoten, Widerøe flies several times a day from Bodø to Svolvær and Leknes, and also serves Røst. Visit Northern Norway lists Widerøe routes from Trondheim to Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen, Mosjøen and Mo i Rana, plus a direct route from Oslo to Brønnøysund. In western Norway, Widerøe and DAT have several daily flights between Florø and Bergen and Oslo.

Tip

Be ready to change planes on the way to a small airport, especially far north, and follow each leg in the Avinor app or on avinor.no.

What may differ

Some routes are seasonal: Widerøe flies direct from Oslo and Bergen to Lofoten only in the summer season. Routes change, so check the current route map before you plan.
