Is there an ATM at Oslo Airport?
Where the ATMs are, which currencies and the exchange office.
Short answer
Yes, Oslo Airport Gardermoen has ATMs both before and after security, including in the arrivals hall, at the C gates and after passport control. The ATMs are run by Loomis, and most of them give Norwegian kroner as well as euros and other currencies. Loomis also has an exchange office in the arrivals hall, open 06:00–22:00 every day.
Why
- Avinor says there are ATMs in several places at Oslo Airport, both before and after the security check, including the north pier with the C gates and the arrivals hall.
- Loomis runs the currency service at the airport and lets you withdraw and exchange currency at all the airport's ATMs.
- The Loomis exchange office is in the arrivals hall on the ground floor of the terminal and is open 06:00–22:00 every day.
Details
Not every ATM has the same currencies: the one after passport control at gate E14 gives only Thai baht, US dollars, pounds and UAE dirhams, while the machines after security also give kroner and euros. Exchanging currency at the office is only for passengers flying abroad or arriving from abroad, with a limit of NOK 25,000 per day and NOK 100,000 per year. You must show a passport or national ID card and your travel details.
Tip
You may not need much cash: you can pay for the Flytoget airport train by tapping your bank card on the card reader at the station before boarding.
What may differ
If you want to change leftover kroner into another currency, the exchange office asks for proof that amounts over NOK 5,000 were acquired in Norway, because of anti-money-laundering rules.
