Which Norwegian banks support Apple Pay?
Apple's bank list for Norway, DNB and adding a card.
Short answer
Apple Pay works with cards from DNB, Nordea, Handelsbanken, Danske Bank, the SpareBank 1 banks and many local savings banks, according to Apple's list for Norway. The list has 149 banks and card issuers, including Sbanken, Storebrand, Bank Norwegian, Revolut and Wise. If your bank is on it, you add the card in the bank's app or in Wallet.
Why
- Apple's support page lists 149 banks and card issuers in Norway that work with Apple Pay, from DNB and Nordea to small banks such as Voss Sparebank.
- DNB lets you add both bank cards and credit cards to Apple Pay in its mobile banking app, and it charges nothing extra for paying with Apple Pay.
- Norway is on Apple's list of countries and regions where Apple Pay is available.
Details
In the DNB app you first update to the latest version, open the account or the More menu, choose the card and add it to Apple Wallet. One Apple device can hold eight or twelve cards, depending on the model. Apple's list also includes credit card issuers such as Komplett Bank and Santander Consumer Finance, and foreign providers such as N26.
Tip
If your bank is not on Apple's list, check whether it supports tapping with Vipps instead, which works on iPhones with iOS 17.4 or newer.
What may differ
Business cards follow their own rules: DNB names DNB Visa Business and DNB Corporate Mastercard as the business cards you can add to Apple Wallet.
