What are Trumf Pay and Coop Pay, and how do I pay with them?
How the two grocery payment apps work, where you can use them and what you earn.
Short answer
Trumf Pay and Coop Pay, which Coop writes as Coopay, are payment options in the Trumf and Coop apps that you activate with BankID and use at the checkout. With Trumf Pay you scan a QR code at KIWI, MENY, SPAR or Joker and earn 1% extra Trumf bonus. Coopay works in all Coop shops.
Why
- Trumf says you save 1% extra Trumf bonus every time you shop with Trumf Pay.
- Trumf Pay works at staffed and self-service checkouts at KIWI, MENY, Joker, SPAR, Jacob's, Nærbutikken and CC Mat.
- Coop says Coopay can be used in all Coop shops and checkouts once it is activated in the member app and verified with BankID.
Details
For Trumf Pay, choose the account you want to pay from and confirm with BankID, then at the checkout open the app, scan the QR code and approve with Face ID, fingerprint or PIN. For Coopay, add at least one payment card, and you can approve the payment on your phone where you stand, for example while packing your goods. Coop members also get at least 1% purchase dividend.
Tip
Esso is not on Trumf's list of shops that take Trumf Pay, so check the Trumf app before you count on paying that way at a petrol station.
What may differ
Both services require BankID, which you get from your bank, so visitors without it pay by card instead.
