Do Temu, Shein and AliExpress ship to Norway?

Delivery, free shipping limits and Norwegian VAT.

Answered at: Checked at:

Short answer

Yes, Temu, Shein and AliExpress all sell to customers in Norway, and a Forbrukerrådet survey from October 2024 found Norwegian shoppers on all three platforms. Temu has a Norwegian site with prices in kroner and free shipping above a minimum order. Delivery times are shown when you order, and Norwegian VAT applies at checkout or on arrival.

Shopping in Norway: how to shop smart a parcel box with a small red postal horn symbol and a delivery van

Why

  1. In Forbrukerrådet's survey of 1,014 people in October 2024, 6 in 10 had shopped at Temu or similar cheap foreign online shops in the previous two to three years.
  2. Temu's Norwegian site gives free standard shipping on orders from 130 kr for the first order and 345 kr after that, and says processing may take 1–3 days.
  3. Items under NOK 3,000 from VOEC-registered shops have Norwegian VAT added at checkout, while other parcels are charged VAT on arrival plus a carrier fee.

Details

Temu says the delivery time for each package appears on the order confirmation page and in the order history. Food, supplements and vitamins are outside the VOEC scheme, so they are charged on arrival whatever the value. In 2026 Posten charges NOK 46 to clear a parcel worth up to NOK 500 and NOK 78 for NOK 500–3,000.

Tip

Check that the total at checkout includes Norwegian VAT, and if Posten asks you to pay VAT again, contact the shop for a refund.

What may differ

Items worth more than NOK 3,000 each are charged VAT on arrival, and clothing outside the VOEC scheme can also carry customs duty.

Common misconception

Cheap orders from China are still free of VAT.

What actually happens

Since 1 January 2024 VAT has applied to all goods from foreign online shops, whatever the value.
