How to choose: shopping centre, main street or close to home
- Shopping anyway: the chain salons are inside the shopping centre.
- Want a smaller salon in the centre: the independent salons on Storgata are less than 200 metres from the shopping centre.
- Live or work away from the central streets: look at the salons off Storgata and find them on the map.
- This page is not a complete list: the rest of the salons are in the catalogue.
Jessheim town centre is small, and most of the salons on this page are close to each other. From Storgata 6, where the shopping centre is, it is 150 to 190 metres in a straight line to the independent salons on the same street, and 300 to 460 metres to the salons on Trondheimsvegen and Såvegen. The exception is the salon on Gardermovegen: it is at Sand, about 2.5 kilometres from the centre.
The groups differ mainly in the type of salon. The salons in the shopping centre belong to chains with salons in several parts of the country, and they are on the centre's own list of hairdressers. The independent salons are smaller businesses, and some of them are registered as sole proprietorships (enkeltpersonforetak), which means they are owned by one person.
The salons on this page are a selection. The catalogue category Hair Salons & Haircare holds more than twenty cards, and guides on other topics are gathered in the ratings section.
Booking and opening hours
- The chain salons have a website with online booking: the link is in the card.
- Only a phone number in the card: call and book an appointment.
- The cards do not list opening hours.
- The salons in the shopping centre stayed open longest when we checked.
How you book depends on the salon. The chain salons in Jessheim Storsenter take bookings online, and the link to the website is in the card. Online booking is not limited to the chains: one of the salons off Storgata also offers it on its own website. At salons that list only a phone number in the card, you call and book an appointment.
Opening hours are not in the cards, but we checked them on Google Maps on Monday 5 October 2026. That day the salons in the shopping centre were open until 21:00. The independent salons on Storgata closed at 17:00 and 19:00, and the salons off Storgata between 16:00 and 18:00. Hours can change, so check with the salon before you set off.
A chain salon can change its name when the chain changes its brand. The name in the card may then differ from the sign and from the booking website. Go by the address and phone number in the card to be sure you are booking with the right salon.
Before your appointment: services, price and cancellation
- Read the card description: it says what the salon offers.
- The cards do not list prices: ask for a price when you book.
- Colour and highlights take longer than a cut: say what you want when you book.
- Ask about the deadline for cancelling.
The card descriptions say what the salons offer. Cuts, colour and styling appear throughout, and some also mention highlights, keratin treatment, hair extensions, wigs or tinting of lashes and brows. Some state that they cut women's, men's and children's hair. If you are looking for a men's barber, the catalogue has a separate category for barber shops.
Prices are not in the cards, and they vary with the salon, the hairdresser and the treatment. Ask for a price when you book, and ask how much time to set aside: a colour treatment takes longer than an ordinary cut.
Ask about the cancellation rules too: how late you can cancel, and whether the salon charges for an appointment you miss. The rules are the salon's own, so they can differ from one salon to the next.
