Hairdressers in Lillehammer: 10 salons on Storgata, by Strandtorget and on Industrigata

Look for a hairdresser in Lillehammer and you soon end up on Storgata: seven of the ten salons on this page have an address between number 32 and number 63, and it is under 300 metres in a straight line from the first to the last. Two salons are by the Strandtorget shopping centre, one inside the centre and one on Sliperivegen next to it. The tenth is on Industrigata, about two kilometres north of the centre, with free parking according to its card. The page shows where the salons are, who takes bookings online, and which opening hours the salons themselves give. The address and phone number are in every card.

The cards were checked on 7 October 2026. Editor: Alex. Found a mistake? Leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Storgata, Strandtorget or Industrigata: where the salons are

  • Storgata 32 to 42A: four salons within about a hundred metres.
  • Storgata 58, 61 and 63: three salons within sixty metres, on the pedestrian street.
  • Strandtorget: one salon in the shopping centre and one on Sliperivegen, under a hundred metres apart.
  • Industrigata 31: one salon about two kilometres north of the railway station.

Storgata is the street where most of the town's hairdressers have their address. Of the 32 cards in the category Hair Salons & Haircare, 13 are here, from number 32 in the south to number 136 in the north. The seven on this page are all in the southern part, and from the railway station at Jernbanetorget it is between 250 and 370 metres in a straight line to each of them.

Strandtorget is on the opposite side of the station, about 600 metres from it and 900 metres from Storgata 42A. The shopping centre has the address Strandpromenaden 85, and the hairdressing chain there has the same address in its card. The salon on Sliperivegen is, according to its own website, right next to the centre, directly opposite Europris.

The salon on Industrigata stands on its own. The card describes it as a neighbour of the new fire station, easy to drive to and with free parking.

If you want to see all the hairdressers in town, not only these ten, go to the category or to the page about Lillehammer. Overviews for other towns are collected under Beauty and wellness.

How to get an appointment: five with online booking, one with drop-in

  • Online booking: the chain at Strandtorget, Sliperivegen, Storgata 42A, Storgata 61 and Industrigata 31.
  • Drop-in: the card for the salon at Storgata 32 describes a drop-in concept.
  • Phone only: Storgata 36A and 58 have no website in the card, and Storgata 63 has only Facebook.
  • Cancellation: no later than 24 hours before the appointment at the chain at Strandtorget and at Storgata 61.

Each salon uses its own booking solution (read on 7 October 2026). Storgata 61 takes bookings through Fixit, Storgata 42A has its own page at bestille.no, and the chain at Strandtorget uses the chain's own system. On Sliperivegen the two hairdressers each have their own booking page, one at Ledigtime and the other at Timma, and they also answer the phone. The card for Industrigata 31 links straight to the salon's page at Timma.

Four of the salons on Storgata have no online booking. Number 32 does not need it: the point there is that you come without an appointment. Numbers 36A and 58 have no website in the card, and the card for number 58 also lacks opening hours, so ring before you go there. Number 63 refers to Facebook. Storgata 41 has its own website with gift cards, and the link is in the card.

Two salons have written down what applies when you cannot come. The chain at Strandtorget asks for cancellation no later than 24 hours before the appointment. Storgata 61 has the same deadline, and there an appointment you do not turn up for is charged at 50 per cent of the booked time.

The services set the salons apart more than the address does. Storgata 42A states the time needed: men's cut 30 minutes, women's cut 60 minutes and clipper cut 15 minutes, and it also has children's cuts, beard, colour and balayage. Storgata 61 has been in town since 1974 and has bridal hair, updos and braids, beard shaping, hair extensions, wigs and hair donation on its list. The salon on Sliperivegen mentions foil highlights, bleaching and bridal styling, and its card highlights blonde hair and eyebrow threading. The chain at Strandtorget cuts women, men and children and also does lashes, brows, extensions and ear piercing.

Opening hours: until 20:00 at Strandtorget, Saturday by arrangement at Storgata 61

  • Strandtorget: the chain follows the centre's hours, 9:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and until 18:00 on Saturday.
  • Sliperivegen: 8:00 to 17:00 on Monday and Tuesday, until 19:00 Wednesday to Friday, Saturday 9:00 to 14:00.
  • Storgata 61: 8:00 to 17:00, until 19:00 on Tuesday and Thursday, Saturday by arrangement only.
  • Sunday: the shopping centre and the chain there are closed.

We read the hours above on the salons' and the shopping centre's own pages on 7 October 2026. Strandtorget is open 9:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday and 9:00 to 18:00 on Saturday, and the chain gives the same hours for its salon. None of the salons we have found hours for stays open longer.

On Storgata the evening is shorter. The salon at number 61 has late opening until 19:00 on Tuesday and Thursday and otherwise closes at 17:00. Saturday is a trial arrangement: you get in touch, and the salon sees whether one of the hairdressers can take you. Storgata 42A gives 9:00 to 17:00 on its contact page, without saying which days this applies to.

For the other six we have not found opening hours on websites of their own. There the phone number in the card is the safest source when the time of day matters.

The salons on this page are chosen by the NorgeGuide editors. Payment affects neither the selection nor the order. The order within the groups follows the addresses and says nothing about quality.
