If you live at Gressvik or at Torp, you can skip the trip into town. Outside the centre the catalogue also has hairdressers in Lislebyveien, Mosseveien and Onsøyveien.

The rest of the town is on the Fredrikstad page, and more guides to hair and wellness are gathered under Beauty and wellness.

Getting an appointment: online booking at five, phone at six

  • The barbers in Farmanns gate and at Storgata 28 and the salon at Nygaardsgata 7 take bookings through the online service Timma.
  • The salon at Nygata 2 uses Ledigtime, and the salon at Torp has its own booking form.
  • For six of the places we have found nothing but a phone number: Agentgaten, Storgata 10, Nygaardsgata 3 and 21, Turngata and Gressvik torg.

The barber at Storgata 28 says on its website (read 7 October 2026) that you can book online around the clock or call. The barber in Farmanns gate has the booking built into its own site, where the full list is also shown: men's cut, pensioner's cut, children's cut for ages 0 to 10, clipper cut, skin fade, beard trim and eyebrow threading, with a price on each line. The card for the salon at Nygaardsgata 7 links straight to the booking page, where the treatments are sorted into cuts, colour, highlights, styling, beard and care (seen 6 October 2026).

At Nygata 2 you book through Ledigtime (read 7 October 2026): the list has cuts for children, men and women, colour, highlights, brows and lashes, extensions and ear piercing. The salon also notes that not all staff perform all treatments, and asks you to call for a specially adapted booking. The salon at Torp sends you from its website to a booking form with women's, men's and children's cuts, colour, highlights, beard and styling.

Where we have found a phone number only, you call. That also goes for the barber in Agentgaten, which according to the card offers skin fades, beard trims, children's cuts, family cuts and Afro haircuts. The card for the barber at Storgata 28 states that the staff speak Norwegian, English and Arabic.

The first two were listed as opening at 9:00 the next day, while the salons at Nygaardsgata 3 and Nygata 2 had no hours there. If you want a haircut after work at one of the salons, you should therefore call and ask about the last appointment.
