Which group suits you
The page is useful if you are looking for a physiotherapist on the municipal list, want an appointment within walking distance of the centre, or would rather book without phoning.
| If you need | Look for | The group that fits | Check this |
|---|---|---|---|
| A physiotherapist with a municipal agreement | The institute's name on the municipal list of agreements | Between the centre and Moa: Gåseid. At Moa and Blindheim: three of the four | That the person you get an appointment with is among the names on the list |
| An appointment within walking distance of the centre | An address in Kongens gate, Korsegata or Storhauggata | In the centre and on Aspøya | The phone number: two of the clinics there give another one than the card |
| Online booking | A booking link on the clinic's website | All three groups: five of the clinics | That the booking is for the therapist you want |

The municipal list: four of the ten have physiotherapists with an agreement
- The list is called Fysioterapeutar med avtale and was last changed on 1 October 2026.
- On the list: Haugvegen at Gåseid, Moavegen, Moa Park and Blindheimsvegen.
- It is the person who has the agreement, not the clinic.
The website of Ålesund municipality has the overview Fysioterapeutar med avtale, last changed on 1 October 2026 and read on 7 October. It goes institute by institute and gives the phone number and which of the physiotherapists the agreement covers. It also says that a referral from the GP is not necessary, and that you contact the institute yourself to arrange a time.
The list has nine names at Moavegen 11, four in Moa Park, three at Gåseid and two at Blindheimsvegen 10. In Moa Park the municipality gives house number 8 while the card has number 6: the address points are about twenty metres apart. The list also says what each person works with, among other things manual therapy at Moavegen and children's physiotherapy at Gåseid.
At Blindheimsvegen 10 there are two practices at the same address. One is on the municipal list with two physiotherapists. The other writes on its own website that it is fully private, without a municipal operating grant, and that the waiting time is rarely more than one and a half to two weeks. The centre at Moavegen also has physiotherapists who are not on the list: its website names two who take insurance patients, and neither of them is among the municipality's nine names.
The five others, in Kongens gate, Korsegata, Storhauggata, Sjømannsvegen and Hatlasvingen, we did not find on the list under the name in the card.
The rules on payment are the same all over the country and are on helsenorge.no under the heading Egenandel hos fysioterapeut; that page was updated on 1 August 2026 and read on 7 October. You do not need a referral. The public purse covers the treatment only with a physiotherapist who has a municipal operating grant and direct settlement with Helfo, and without that the whole bill is yours. Children and young people under 18, everyone with an exemption card (frikort) and patients with an approved occupational injury pay no user fee. The threshold for the exemption card is NOK 3,278 in approved user fees in 2026.
How to ask for an appointment: online booking at five places, phone at the others
- Storhauggata 2 and Sjømannsvegen 14: online booking from the clinic's website.
- Moavegen 11: online, phone or e-mail, and the office is open 08.00 to 16.00 on weekdays.
- Blindheimsvegen 10, the fully private one: online booking, open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
What is said here about booking was read on the clinics' websites on 7 October 2026. The clinic at Kongens gate 11 has a booking link on its physiotherapy page and names two physiotherapists; the reception and switchboard are staffed from 08.00 to 15.00 Monday to Friday. The card is for one named physiotherapist, so give the name when you book.
The practice in Storhauggata has a simple page with a booking link, phone and e-mail but no opening hours. The clinic at Sjømannsvegen 14 is based at Color Line Stadion, has four physiotherapists and online booking; it gives no opening hours.
The centre at Moavegen 11 is multidisciplinary, and you book online, by phone or by e-mail. The office is open from 08.00 to 16.00 Monday to Friday. The long hours in the card are those of the gym, which is open with a key card from 06.00 to 23.00 on weekdays.
The fully private practice at Blindheimsvegen has online booking, is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 08.30 to 16.00 and asks for cancellation no later than 24 hours before the appointment.
The institutes in Korsegata, at Gåseid, in Hatlasvingen and in Moa Park have no website in the card. There the phone is the only way in, and for Korsegata and Hatlasvingen the card is also the only source we have: phone and ask whether the practice takes new patients.
The way there: twelve kilometres from Aspøya to Blindheim, and three phone numbers that do not match
- Korsegata 8 and Kongens gate 11 are 150 and 300 metres from the town hall, Storhauggata 2 half a kilometre west of it.
- Sjømannsvegen 14 is 1.7 kilometres east of the town hall, Haugvegen 29 just under five and Hatlasvingen 1 just under six.
- Moavegen 11 and Moa Park are 150 and 220 metres from the shopping centre at Moa.
- Blindheimsvegen 10 is just under three kilometres south-east of Moa.
The figures are straight lines between the map points in the cards, the town hall in Keiser Wilhelms gate and the shopping centre at Moavegen 1. From Storhauggata to Blindheimsvegen it is twelve kilometres, while between Haugvegen and Hatlasvingen it is only 1.3.
The fully private practice at Blindheimsvegen explains the way in itself: the first floor up in a building that also has a training centre, with the entrance from the car park by the grocery shop.
Three cards have a different phone number from the one the clinic or the municipality gives: in Kongens gate, in Storhauggata and at Gåseid. Use the number from the clinic's page or the municipal list then. The card for Kongens gate 11 also shows postcode 6025, which belongs to the clinic's PO box: the street address has 6002.
The catalogue has far more practitioners than these ten: Rehabilitation and wellness centres holds 54 cards in October 2026. Other overviews about health are in the section Health and medicine. This is an overview of addresses, not health care: if the illness or injury is acute and serious, phone 113.

How we make the overview
The addresses on this page were chosen by the NorgeGuide editorial team. Payment affects neither the selection nor the order. The order within the groups is free and says nothing about quality: the editors do not assess the treatment.
