With a municipal agreement or without: what the municipal list says
- The municipality lists physiotherapists with an operating agreement by name, institute by institute.
- Five addresses on this page are on the list, which was last updated on 12 June 2026.
- The clinic in Luramyrveien states itself that it is fully private.
- The agreement follows the physiotherapist: ask who your appointment is with.
Sandnes municipality has its own page, Private fysioterapeuter, where every physiotherapist with an operating agreement is listed under their institute. It writes that the main rule is to use a physiotherapist with an agreement, that the user fee is the same as with municipal physiotherapists, and that those without an agreement use other rates.
As of 12 June 2026, five of the addresses here are on the list. The institute in Asheimveien at Sandved has eight names, the institute in Hanaveien six and the institute in Hoveveien at Ganddal five, while Gravarsveien and Gamle Ålgårdsveien at Austrått have one name each. In Gravarsveien more therapists work than the one on the list, and the cards in Hanaveien and Hoveveien carry the name of a physiotherapist who is not on it: look for the name before you book.
The addresses in Langgata, Vågsgata, Gamleveien, Luramyrveien and Vassbotnen are not on the list. The clinic in Luramyrveien writes on its website that it is a fully private business without an operating grant and outside the exemption card scheme. For the other four we found no information about an agreement.
The national rules are on helsenorge.no, on the page about user fees for physiotherapy (updated 1 August 2026): a referral is not required, but without an operating grant agreement you pay everything yourself. With a physiotherapist who has an agreement there is no user fee if you are under 18, hold an exemption card or have an approved occupational injury, and the exemption card threshold is 3278 kroner in approved user fees in 2026.

It writes that demand is high, that new patients must expect a wait, and that you can ask by e-mail for a place on the waiting list.
