Dentists in Lillehammer: 9 clinics on Kirkegata, by the county hall and on the pedestrian street
The dentists in Lillehammer are gathered around Kirkegata: six of the nine clinics on this page have an address at Kirkegata 55 to 78 or on Nymosvingen next to it, and none of them is more than 300 metres in a straight line from the bus and train station. Among them is the county's clinic in the county hall. The other three are on the pedestrian street, on Tomtegata further north and at Kirkegata 12 in the southern part of town. The page shows where the clinics are, which opening hours they give themselves, and how you get an appointment. We do not assess the dentists or the treatment.

Kirkegata, the county hall and the pedestrian street: where the clinics are
- Kirkegata 55, 68 and 70: about 160 metres from the station, and numbers 68 and 70 are neighbours.
- The county hall at Kirkegata 78, Kirkegata 77 and Nymosvingen 6: three clinics within fifty metres.
- Storgata 64B: one floor up on the pedestrian street, about 270 metres from the station.
- Tomtegata 4 and Kirkegata 12: about 500 and 670 metres from the station, in opposite directions.
The distances are straight lines between the points in the cards, measured from Jernbanetorget. The county itself describes the way to its clinic: the ground floor of the county hall, straight up from the station (innlandetfylke.no, read on 7 October 2026). The specialist practice at Kirkegata 77 is one floor up and has its entrance from Nymosvingen, and the chain clinic at Nymosvingen 6 is under fifty metres away.
If you come by car, expect to pay. The county writes that there is paid parking in the town-centre streets, in marked spaces or in car parks, and that Øya parkering is next to the county hall. The clinic on Tomtegata stated parking outside the door and premises at street level when its page was read on 6 October 2026.
The catalogue has more cards than there are clinics. The category Dental Clinics counts 25 cards, and 12 of them have an address on Kirkegata. Several are individual dentists who share premises: at Kirkegata 70 and 70B alone there are four cards. The rest of the town is on the page about Lillehammer, and health overviews for other towns under Health and medicine.
Opening hours and booking: what the clinics themselves state
- Earliest: the county's clinic opens at 7:45 and closes at 15:15.
- Kirkegata 55: 8:00 to 15:30, closed for lunch 11:15 to 12:15.
- Storgata 64B: weekdays 8:00 to 18:00, weekends and public holidays 10:00 to 16:00.
- Online booking: Nymosvingen 6, Kirkegata 55, Storgata 64B and Kirkegata 12.
We read the hours on the clinics' own pages on 7 October 2026. Five clinics keep office hours on weekdays: the county's clinic 7:45 to 15:15, Kirkegata 12 8:00 to 16:00, Kirkegata 55 8:00 to 15:30, and Nymosvingen 6 and the specialist practice at Kirkegata 77 8:30 to 16:00. The chain clinic at Kirkegata 55 answers the phone 8:15 to 15:00 and closes for an hour at midday. Tomtegata 4 stated 8:30 to 15:30 when its page was read on 6 October.
The clinic on the pedestrian street is the exception. It writes that it is open 365 days a year: 8:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, 10:00 to 16:00 at weekends and on public holidays, and until 20:00 by appointment or for acute need. None of the other eight states weekend opening.
Four clinics have a booking link on their website: the two chain clinics, the clinic on the pedestrian street and the practice at Kirkegata 12. The county's clinic asks you to get in touch to book or change an appointment, and the specialist practice gives a phone number and an e-mail address. The website in the card for Kirkegata 68 did not respond when we checked, and the card for Kirkegata 70 has only a phone number.
Acute help and the bill: the county and helsenorge.no
- The public dental clinics in Innlandet have no emergency service (tannlegevakt).
- The county asks you to contact the nearest dentist, then the out-of-hours medical service (legevakta).
- Children from 0 to 18: free in the public dental service, except orthodontics.
- Adults as a main rule pay themselves.
Innlandet county writes that the public dental clinics have no emergency dental service (innlandetfylke.no, last changed 15 September 2026, read on 7 October 2026). In case of severe pain or dental injuries the county asks you to contact the nearest dentist, and legevakta if you cannot reach the dentist. If you or your child has a right to free treatment, you can afterwards apply for a refund at the public clinic you usually attend: keep the receipt and a printout showing what was done.
Three of the private clinics here mention acute appointments on their own pages (read on 7 October 2026). The chain clinic at Kirkegata 55 writes that you can get an appointment the same day, the chain clinic on Nymosvingen that it tries hard to find a same-day appointment while the clinic is open, and the clinic on the pedestrian street asks you to ring. None of them promises a free slot: that is settled on the phone.
Who pays is explained by helsenorge.no (last updated 1 July 2026, read on 7 October 2026). The main rule is that adults pay for dental treatment themselves, and that the dentist sets prices freely. Children from 0 to 18 get free treatment in the public dental service, with the exception of orthodontics. If you turn between 19 and 28 in the year of treatment and go to the public dental service, you pay 25 per cent yourself. Of the clinics on this page, the one in the county hall is the public one. Helsenorge also lists other groups with a right to free public dental treatment and conditions for which Helfo gives support: the dentist or hygienist assesses whether you are covered.

How we make the overview
The clinics on this page are chosen by the NorgeGuide editors. Payment affects neither the selection nor the order. The editors assess neither dentists nor treatment, and the order within the groups says nothing about quality.
