Hairdressers in Sandnes: 11 salons and barbers in the centre, at Kvadrat and in Lura
In Sandnes there are in practice three places to get a haircut: the streets around Langgata in the centre, the Kvadrat shopping centre in Lura, and the smaller salons in the residential streets north of the centre. This page brings together hairdressers and barbers from all three and shows what sets them apart: how late they are open, how you get an appointment, and whether the place colours hair, cuts children's hair or does beards. Address and phone number are in the cards.
Centre: salons in Langgata and barbers in Elvegata and Gjesdalveien
Kvadrat: two hair salons and a barber at the shopping centre in Lura
Lura and Gamleveien: a salon at Lurabyen and three neighbourhood salons

Three areas: Langgata and the centre, Kvadrat, and residential Lura
- Centre: two salons at opposite ends of Langgata and two barbers just south of it, in Elvegata and Gjesdalveien.
- Kvadrat: two hair salons and a barber under one roof, two to three kilometres north of the centre as the crow flies.
- Lura and Gamleveien: one salon at the Lurabyen shopping centre and three smaller salons in the residential streets.
- Several of the places belong to chains with more than one branch in town: only one address of each is listed here.
Langgata runs through the centre from south to north, and in the directory more than fifteen hairdressers have an address in this one street. The two salons listed here sit at opposite ends, about 700 metres apart as the crow flies: number 11 in the south and number 94 in the north. The barbers are just south of the street, one in Elvegata and the other in Gjesdalveien, both within a few hundred metres of Langgata 11.
Kvadrat is in Lura, at Gamle Stokkavei 1, and three of the cards have their address there. The centre has a north end and a south end: according to the centre's website (read on 6 October 2026), the nationwide hairdressing chain has two salons on level 3 (3. etasje), one at each end, and the barber on this page is the branch in the south.
The third group is also in Lura, but outside Kvadrat. The Lurabyen shopping centre is a few hundred metres away, and the salon there is on the ground floor (1. etasje), according to the centre's website. The other three are neighbourhood salons: in Larsamyrå south of Kvadrat, in Lerkeveien about half a kilometre east of the centre, and in Gamleveien just over a kilometre east of it.
What is listed here is a selection. The Hair Salons & Haircare category in the directory has nearly ninety cards for the whole of Sandnes, and Barbershops has five. The rest of the town is on the Sandnes page, and more guides on hair and wellness are under Beauty and wellness.
Online booking, walk-in or phone: how the places do it
- The card links straight to the booking page for the barber in Elvegata and for one of the salons at Kvadrat.
- Walk-ins: the salon at Langgata 11 when there is a free slot, and the nationwide chain at Kvadrat alongside appointments.
- Four cards have no website: the barber in Gjesdalveien and the three neighbourhood salons.
- Children's or boys' cuts are mentioned in four of the cards.
The barber in Elvegata and the salon at Langgata 11 use the same online booking system. The salon at Langgata 11 says on its website (read on 6 October 2026) that you can also come without an appointment when there is a free slot. At Kvadrat, one of the hair salons has online booking round the clock, according to the card, while the nationwide chain behind the other lists both walk-ins and appointments on its website. The barber there has a separate booking page for each branch, so pick the south one if that is where you are going.
Four of the cards have no website: the barber in Gjesdalveien and the salons in Larsamyrå, Lerkeveien and Gamleveien. There the phone number in the card is the way in. The cards for Larsamyrå and Lerkeveien also lack opening hours, so a phone call there saves you a wasted trip.
What the places do is in the descriptions. The barbers in Elvegata and at Kvadrat list men's cuts and beard care, and the one in Elvegata also mentions fades, boys' cuts for ages 10 to 15 and cuts by an apprentice. The salon at the north end of Langgata has colour, highlights and hair extensions. The one at the south end cuts and colours for women, men and children and offers shaves as well. At Kvadrat, one salon mentions bleaching and a classic cut-throat shave, the other children's cuts, highlights, extensions and ear piercing.
For prices you have to go to the place itself: none of the cards give them.
Opening hours: until 9 pm at Kvadrat, a short Saturday in the centre
- Weekdays: Kvadrat until 9 pm, Lurabyen and the barber in Elvegata until 8 pm, the others until 6 pm or earlier.
- Saturday: closing time from 3 pm to 6 pm, and the salon at the north end of Langgata is closed.
- Monday: the salon in Gamleveien is closed.
- Sunday: none of the cards show opening hours.

The salon at Lurabyen and the barber in Elvegata are listed with a closing time of 8 pm, and the centre's website and the barber's booking page say the same (read on 6 October 2026). The salon at Langgata 11 and the barber in Gjesdalveien close at 6 pm.
The salon at the north end of Langgata has the shortest days: until 4 pm on Monday and Tuesday, until 6 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and until 3 pm on Friday. Its own website says that Wednesday and Thursday start at noon and that Saturday is closed. The salon in Gamleveien is listed as closed on Mondays and open from 10 am to 6 pm from Tuesday to Friday.
On Saturdays the shopping centres and the barber in Elvegata are listed with a closing time of 6 pm, the salon at Langgata 11 and the barber in Gjesdalveien with 4 pm, and the salon in Gamleveien with 3 pm.
