Distances: 90 metres between two workshops in the west, 270 metres from the train to the nearest one

  • Gneisveien 10 and 11 are barely 90 metres apart, and from there it is about 2.2 kilometres in a straight line east to the railway station.
  • Nedre Movei 1 is closest to the train, with about 270 metres to the station.
  • Going east it is about 1 kilometre to Einerveien 15, 2 kilometres to Bekkeveien 11 and 2.4 kilometres to Hågasletta 1.
  • Farthest away is Fokserødveien 30: about 4.8 kilometres to the north.

Gneisveien belongs to the workshop and retail area around Pindsleveien and Nygårdsveien: from number 10 it is under 300 metres to both streets, and Hinderveien 4 is about 700 metres further south. The catalogue also lists car care, paint repair and tyre storage in Pindsleveien and several workshops at Nygårdsveien 79: see Car repair and maintenance, which has 37 cards in October 2026, and Car wash and car care.

East of the centre, Bekkeveien 11 and Hågasletta 1 share the postcode 3236, with about 560 metres between them. Einerveien 15 is on its own north-east of the centre, and Fokserødveien 30 is in the north of the municipality, where the E18 passes.

The rest of the town is on the Sandefjord page of the catalogue, parts and accessories are under Car parts and accessories, and more pages of this kind are under Rankings of popular places.

What the workshops state themselves: EU-kontroll at five, electric cars at four, motorhomes at one

  • EU-kontroll is on the pages of five workshops: both in Gneisveien, the one in Nedre Movei, the one at Hågasletta and the collision centre at Fokserød.
  • Electric cars: both workshops in Gneisveien are marked as EV-certified by their chains, the workshop at Hågasletta calls itself an approved EV workshop, and the collision centre has electric cars on its list.
  • Wheel alignment checks are on the list in Nedre Movei.
  • Motorhomes of up to 7.5 tonnes are accepted at Hågasletta.

We read all of this on the firms' own sites and on the chains' pages on 6 and 7 October 2026. For Gneisveien 10 the chain page mentions servicing and repairs for all makes and lists air conditioning and batteries as specialities on site. Its neighbour at number 11 states car servicing, EU-kontroll and repairs for all common makes, with air-conditioning service, brakes, battery replacement, oil changes and tyre changes on the list.

The workshop in Nedre Movei has the most technical list: air-conditioning service, petrol and diesel injection, auto-electrical repairs, car glass, wheel alignment checks and EU-kontroll of vehicles up to 3,500 kilos. Hågasletta has the widest range: servicing, EU-kontroll, computer diagnostics, air-conditioning service, cleaning of particulate filters and EGR valves, car glass, bodywork, polishing, tyres and rims and tyre storage. The same place writes that it has a replacement car.

Two addresses do something other than ordinary servicing. The collision centre at Fokserød has bodywork and collision repair as its trade, but also lists servicing, repairs, EU-kontroll and condition reports. The workshop in Bekkeveien fits dual-control pedal sets in cars used for driver training, up to 3,500 kilos, and converts new and used vehicles for training use. Ordinary repairs and EU-kontroll it leaves to a partner workshop at the same address, which has its own card in the catalogue.

The workshops in Einerveien and Hinderveien have no website. Their cards describe repairs and maintenance, and the card for Einerveien also mentions the sale of car parts.

A short Friday in Nedre Movei, Saturday in Einerveien and round-the-clock drop-off at Fokserød

  • Earliest to open are Gneisveien 10 and the collision centre at Fokserød: 7.30.
  • On Fridays the workshop in Nedre Movei closes at 13.30, on the other days at 16.00.
  • The workshop in Bekkeveien stays open longest: until 17.00, Monday to Friday.
  • Saturday: only the card for Einerveien shows it open, 9.00 to 16.00.

The hours for Gneisveien, Nedre Movei, Fokserød and Bekkeveien are on the workshops' or the chains' own pages. Gneisveien 10 is open 7.30 to 16.00 and number 11 from 8.00 to 16.00, both Monday to Friday and closed at weekends. The collision centre gives 7.30 to 16.00 without naming the days. Hågasletta gives no hours on its website; the card shows 8.00 to 16.00, Monday to Friday.

The two without a website we know only from the cards and from what Google Maps showed on Monday 5 October 2026 at around four in the afternoon. Einerveien was then listed as open until 16.30, as the card also says. Hinderveien was listed as closed and due to open at 17.00 the same day, while the card shows it open without a break from early morning to evening, so phone before you drive there.

Five of the workshops take bookings online. Both in Gneisveien, the one in Nedre Movei and the collision centre have a booking button on the workshop page, and the workshop at Hågasletta sends you on to its chain's booking. The collision centre is the only one that states drop-off and pick-up of the car round the clock. In Bekkeveien you ask for a quote on the website; in Einerveien and Hinderveien you use the phone number in the card.
