Which group suits you

This page is useful if you want an appointment within walking distance of your job in the centre, if you would rather not drive into Kvadraturen, or if you need an appointment before or after working hours.

Kvadraturen or outside: distances, entrance and parking

  • The three addresses in Kvadraturen lie within a little over a kilometre, from Vestre Strandgate to Tangen.
  • Lund is a good kilometre north-east of Torvet, the main square; Andøya in Vågsbygd is just over four kilometres to the south-west.
  • Sørlandsparken is eight to nine kilometres east of the centre, as the crow flies.
  • At Markens gate 42 several health services share one building.

The centre of Kristiansand is Kvadraturen, and three of the six addresses are there. Two of them are on the west side, in Vestre Strandgate by Vestre Torv and in Markens gate, less than 200 metres apart and less than 400 metres from Torvet. The third is at Tangen, in the east of Kvadraturen, about 700 metres from Torvet.

Access differs from place to place. The clinic at Tangen states that the entrance is directly from street level, and the clinic in Vestre Strandgate writes that there is good parking right next to it (read on 6 and 7 October 2026). Markens gate 42 is a building with many health services: the catalogue has eight cards at that address, among them physiotherapy, naprapathy and acupuncture, so look for the right name at the entrance.

Outside the centre there is one address in each direction. The clinic in Lund is in Kirkeveien, a good kilometre from Torvet. From Andøya in Vågsbygd it is just over four kilometres to the centre, and the clinic in Barstølveien in Sørlandsparken is eight to nine kilometres to the east. The latter writes itself that it is easy to get there both by car and by public transport.

These six clinics are not the only ones in the city. The catalogue category Rehabilitation & Wellness Centers has 70 cards in October 2026, with physiotherapists, naprapaths and osteopaths alongside the chiropractors, and Health and medicine collects more guides.

Opening hours and booking: from 07:00 in Sørlandsparken to 17:00 in the centre

  • The clinic in Sørlandsparken has the longest day: 07:00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday.
  • In Kvadraturen one clinic opens at 07:30 and stays open until 17:00; the other two give 08:00 to 16:00.
  • Online booking is available at five of the six.
  • None of them lists weekend opening on its own pages.

The times here are taken from the clinics' own websites, read on 6 and 7 October 2026. The clinic in Sørlandsparken is open from 07:00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday and until 17:00 on Fridays. In Lund the hours are 08:00 to 17:00, Fridays until 16:00. On Andøya the clinic gives 08:00 to 16:00 on weekdays, or by appointment.

In Kvadraturen the clinic in Vestre Strandgate opens at 07:30 and closes at 17:00, while its phone is answered from 08:00 to 16:00. The clinic at Tangen gives phone hours from 08:00 to 16:00 on weekdays, which does not in itself say when the appointments are. For the clinic in Markens gate we found no website of its own: the card shows 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.

Online booking is available at five of the six: you go to the website from the card. In Lund you choose a practitioner or a treatment before the available times are shown, and the clinic in Sørlandsparken states that an appointment must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. The clinic at Tangen writes that it tries to give a same-day appointment for acute complaints, but a free slot cannot be taken for granted.

The name on the card, authorisation and what this page does not assess

  • Three of the cards have a personal name in the title, the other three the name of a clinic.
  • Three of the six state authorisation or public approval themselves.
  • No card gives a price.
  • The emergency number for acute and serious illness is 113.

Three of the cards have a personal name in the title. Behind two of the names there is a larger clinic with a name of its own, where physiotherapists and other practitioners also see patients: it is the clinic name that meets you at the entrance and on the website, and the opening hours may be shared by the whole house. The other three cards carry the name of the clinic, and there the chiropractor is one of several professions.

We take no view on how good a treatment is, and the chiropractors are not ranked. Authorisation, on the other hand, is something you can read about. The clinic in Lund writes that its chiropractor is publicly authorised, the clinic on Andøya describes chiropractors as authorised health personnel, and the card for the clinic at Tangen uses the words publicly approved (read on 6 and 7 October 2026). For the other three we found no such statement in the card or on the page we read.

No card gives a price, and the text here says nothing about what a treatment helps against. It is meant as a guide and cannot replace a doctor. If it is acute and serious, the emergency number is 113.

Questions and answers

Which chiropractors are in Kvadraturen, the city centre?

Three addresses on this page: in Vestre Strandgate by Vestre Torv, in Markens gate and at Tangen. From Torvet it is less than 400 metres to the first two and about 700 metres to Tangen as the crow flies.

Do I have to go into the centre to see a chiropractor?

No. This page has one address in Kirkeveien in Lund, one on Andøya in Vågsbygd and one in Barstølveien in Sørlandsparken.

Which clinic opens earliest, and which stays open longest?

The clinic in Sørlandsparken gives 07:00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday and until 17:00 on Fridays (read on 6 October 2026). In the centre the clinic in Vestre Strandgate opens at 07:30 and closes at 17:00.

Which clinics have online booking?

Five of the six: all except the clinic in Markens gate, where the card has only a phone number.

Are any of the clinics open on Saturdays or Sundays?

None of them lists weekend opening on its own pages (read on 6 and 7 October 2026). Two state explicitly that they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Do any of the clinics take acute complaints the same day?

The clinic at Tangen writes that it tries to give a same-day appointment for acute complaints. Whether there is a free slot, you only find out when you get in touch.

Why do some of the cards carry a personal name?

Because the card is for one named chiropractor. Two of them are based in a clinic with another name and several professions, and it is the clinic name you see on the website and at the entrance.

How this page is made

The clinics on this page were chosen by the NorgeGuide editors. Payment affects neither the selection nor the order. The order within the groups is free and says nothing about quality: the editors do not assess the treatment.
