This page groups dentists in Kristiansand by location and field: general dentists in Kvadraturen, clinics at Fagerholt and in Sørlandsparken, and two clinics that do orthodontics only. Use it to find a clinic that suits both your journey and your errand: the cards show the address, the phone number and a short description, and most of them link on to the clinic's own website.

A general dentist or orthodontics: start with what you need done

  • Five clinics are general practices, and two do orthodontics only.
  • Orthodontics is carried out by an orthodontist (kjeveortoped): that is why the two clinics have a group of their own.
  • Children come to the orthodontist through a public dentist or dental hygienist, according to one of the clinics.
  • The groups say what a clinic does and where it is, not what the treatment is like.

What you need done decides which group to look in. The general practices list check-ups, cleaning, fillings, root canal treatment, crowns and implants, among other things, either on their own websites or on the card (October 2026). What each one offers is stated by the clinic: this page does not compare them professionally and says nothing about what treatment you need.

The two orthodontic clinics take both children and adults and list fixed braces and clear aligners. The route there differs for children and adults. One of the clinics writes that parents must contact a public dentist or dental hygienist, who assesses the child and refers on to an orthodontist if needed. Adults ask the clinic directly how to get started.

This page is a selection. The catalogue category Dental Clinics holds close to seventy cards, and other health guides are gathered under Health and medicine.

Kvadraturen, Fagerholt or Sørlandsparken: where the clinics are

  • Five of the seven clinics are in Kvadraturen, with about 700 metres between the two furthest apart.
  • Fagerholt is four to five kilometres north-east of Kvadraturen as the crow flies.
  • Sørlandsparken is about eight kilometres east of the centre as the crow flies.
  • The clinic in Sørlandsparken states that it has parking and a step-free entrance.

The centre of Kristiansand is Kvadraturen, the grid of straight streets, and that is where most of the clinics on this page are. The general practices have addresses in Dronningens gate, Kongens gate and Holbergs gate, and the orthodontic clinics in Henrik Wergelands gate and Markens gate. The two that are furthest apart are about 700 metres from each other in a straight line, so here you may as well choose by opening hours as by street.

Two clinics are outside Kvadraturen. One has its address in Magnus Barfots vei at Fagerholt, four to five kilometres to the north-east. The other is in Barstølveien in Sørlandsparken, the retail area about eight kilometres east of the centre: the clinic itself states that it has parking and a step-free entrance.

Only some clinics write about access. One in Kvadraturen states that its premises are on the ground floor and adapted for wheelchair users, and that there is parking nearby. For the others, neither the floor, a lift nor parking is given on the card, so ask about the entrance when you book.

Opening hours, languages and booking: what you can check in advance

  • Daytime is the rule: the clinics open at 08:00 or 08:15 and close between 15:00 and 16:00.
  • One clinic lists opening until 20:00, but the weekdays differ between the card and the clinic's own page.
  • One clinic in Kvadraturen lists English, Norwegian and Spanish.
  • For two of the general practices in Kvadraturen we found no website of their own: there you call.

According to the clinics' own websites and the catalogue cards (read on 5 and 6 October 2026), the clinics open at 08:00, one at 08:15, and close between 15:30 and 16:00; two of the cards show 15:00 on Fridays. One of the orthodontic clinics is open Monday to Thursday and closed on Fridays. None lists opening hours on Saturday or Sunday.

Evening hours exist in one place, and there the information conflicts. The clinic in Sørlandsparken writes about evening opening Monday to Thursday, the timetable on the same page shows 20:00 on Thursday only and closed on Wednesday, and the catalogue card shows 20:00 Monday to Thursday. Call and ask which evenings apply now.

Booking is online where the clinic has set it up: at least three of the clinics have a link to online booking on their website, and one of the orthodontic clinics has a contact form. For two of the general practices in Kvadraturen we found no website of their own (October 2026), so there the phone number on the card is the way in. Languages are rarely stated: one clinic in Kvadraturen says it receives patients in English, Norwegian and Spanish.

This page gives practical information and is not medical advice. Nor does it promise urgent help, even though some clinics mention it themselves. If life is in danger, call 113.

How this page is made

The clinics on this page are chosen by the NorgeGuide editorial team. Payment affects neither the selection nor the order. The order within the groups is free and says nothing about quality: the editorial team does not assess the treatment at the clinics.
